txtYes, the Dojosec Video... I thought this is very inspiring because of several points:
- use many social networks to advertise yourself
- socialize your potential employee to leave positive associations - use these skills
- involve yourself, write, express yourself. Be out there. Don't hide.
- join OpenSource and learn - to improve
It's not just for you. But it's for you, too. Some programmers often consider joining an OpenSource project instead of complaining about it. Too few really do.
In case of college students the "Google Summer Of Code" is a yearly awesome opportunity to learn. Or using social networks like Twitter to gain information about the companies you maybe like to work at. Or to get actual information month before they're everywhere. Just to stay informed.
Kudos to Rob for inspiring (actually a lot of people), and thanks a lot.
